KYSR&PA Rifle Team Members along with members of the Tennessee Rifle Team train soldiers from the , 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, Screaming Eagles in marksmanship training. Chuck Messina, William Merchant, Paul Herbst, Bill Balda, and Eric Armstrong trained our soldiers at Ft. Campbell.
We are proud to have served our nation in a time of war and are proud of the accomplishments of these young soldiers.
For Anyone Who May Be Interested ,the Army is expanding on the work the state association did with our counterparts from Tennessee down at Ft. Campbell. The CMP will be training instructors to assist the Army Marksmanship Unit with training soldiers in the Squad Designated Marksman (SDM) program. More detailed information and an application are available here:

Important Notice!!
Please note that our Long Range Matches at Fort Knox have been changed from 40 to 60 rounds for score as of April 30, 2008.
Please bring enough ammo to allow for the extra 20 rounds.
This has been done to allow our Palma shooters the chance to make the Palma team.
Thanks to the folks that are running the matches that are looking out for our enjoyment and advancement.
We have an inportant announcment to make! You may have not even known this, but our Association had a raffle for a Garand rifle that was given away at the NRA Convention this year. The winner was drawn from the entrants by one of our junior shooters. The winner was a fellow shooter, Andrew Amrhein, of Louisville, KY. I will get a picture as soon as I see him at a match. Andy, if you see this, please bring the rifle with you to the next match.
Congratulations to Andy, and thanks to all of the folks that manned our booth or otherwise assisted in any manner this year. Rest assured that we could not have the Association without your continued support and volunteering efforts.
Thanks again.
